Victory
My workstation 'victory' is what I was thinking of for recording in my studio, to replace 'wonder', but I think instead I will get 'vision'. I have other computers.
Storage
The PCIe 5.0 1TB drive will be mounted at /temp/video. This will be an ext4 file-system. Maybe. It could also be a single device RAID0 ZFS zpool called 'temp'.
The other 4x M.2 1TB drives will host the md0, md1, swap, etc. system partitions (mdadm mirrored and using ext4) and a ZFS RAID10 zpool called 'fast' with /fast/video having no compression and no dedup.
The 3x SATA 18TB drives will be put in ZFS RAIDZ zpool called 'data' with /data/video having no compression, no dedup.
Videos get recorded into /temp/video, worked on in /fast/video, and archived to /data/video. Note that there is no redundancy in /temp/video so if /fast/video is "fast enough" then perhaps /temp/video will be unused. We shall see!
