Haha. I yelled "Take that Jesus!" while watching "The Passion Of The Christ".
I am the most clinically, logically, definitely non-Christian person, but when I saw this movie I cried and when I left the cinema for a split millisecond I even thought: “What if I'm wrong?“. Be very careful, the movie is an excellent example of how effective the Christian brain-washing schemes can be.
Mostly though I just ignored all the 'god' business and watched it as an example of how cruel the world is, and how stupid and heartless people can be, and particularly how vicious they can be to people who don't roll with the status quo. I admired Jesus' stubbornness, some of what he had to say was flawed though, and pissed me off.
The part that really killed me was when Mary was running to Jesus, and there was a flashback to him falling over as child. That was devastating. I still get choked up just thinking about it.
John.
