Well I did end up getting my *huge* garbage bags the other day. Along with some cigarettes and coke (the bare necessities). While I was at the supermarket I also grabbed an 8-pack of AAA batteries for my portable media player. As I passed the stationary isle, I noticed a very small section containing floppy disks. Basically there was one brand, option of 5 or 10 pack. That was it. That is all that my supermarket has left in honor of this brave tradition. Anyway, I bought a 5-pack. Until yesterday I didn't have a single floppy disk in my house. Hard to believe I know, but it's true. This caused me much pain about 6 or 7 months ago when I had two servers with no OS and a DVD install disk that one server wouldn't boot from while the other server didn't have a DVD drive. I had to work some bootable CD magic with my laptop and an old USB CD burner that I had literally gathering dust on the floor in the corner. It took me hours and the sun was up before I'd finished. Figured I might as well have a few floppy disks at hand, just in case I ever find myself at home alone at 3am with no boot partitions again.. :P
