Most of the stuff I know, I heard or learned from someone else.
When I post things in my blog, sometimes I say where I found it, and sometimes I don't. Generally I don't simply out of shear laziness, sometimes it's because I don't want to appear to be name dropping or promoting something, because I always feel like a wanker when I do that.
I guess at the end of the day, when I heard it from someone, they heard it from someone who heard it from someone who read it in a book or wrote the book or whatever.. so from now on I'm not going to worry about the fact that I didn't credit who told me, obviously someone did and who it was doesn't really have any bearing on the fact itself, and it's the fact that I'm interested in remembering or sharing.
Is that the wrong attitude I wonder?
John.
