I am compelled to spend so much time in front of my computer that I forsake quite a few things.
I've already discussed hygiene.
Over the past few days, I've been so flat out, that I've been disinclined to eat.
The reason?
I ran out of canned food.
It's easy to eat food out of a can. ~30 seconds are required to travel to, and get the food from, the cupboard. ~10 seconds are required to remove the lid from the can, and ~20 seconds are required to procure “a thing.. you use.. to.. dig.. food.” It takes ~60 seconds to eat a can of baked beans.
I have plenty of frozen food, but given that it requires a *massive* amount of time to prepare (i.e. I have to put it in the microwave, wait for it to cool a little, etc.) like, say 5 to 10 minutes, I've just been drinking cola (Low Joule Cola, that contains ~0 energy) to keep my hunger at bay for as long as possible. By the way, that's cola at room temperature, from a box of 8x2L bottles sitting on the floor immediately beside me.
Is that wrong? To avoid eating because *frozen food* is too difficult to prepare..? :P
Yeah - cola is a great way to keep hunger away.
A couple weeks ago I ran into the kitchen to make something on the stove, then ran back to the computer to do some more work. Next thing I know there is a burning smell in the house. Frozen food is difficult but safer :).
Heh.. I'd be lucky if the food in my house made it to the stove before it started to smell.. :P
Generally most fresh food that I buy goes bad before I have a change to eat it.
