My mobile sux for SMS, so I don't send them very often. I do get them though. I communicate predominantly via e-mail but a lot of my friends don't - as a result I probably don't send messages to some of my friends as often as I would like.
Today I had a quick look for free web based SMS services in Australia. I didn't look too hard, but I found SMSPup which gives you SMS credits for reading their spam. I signed up, but can see that I'm probably not going to be too committed to this.
I remember many moons ago when I used to be an IM kind of a guy that ICQ supported sending SMSs to the vodafone network. Is this service better now? Is there other IM clients/services that allow sending of SMS?
I'd consider getting an account that I had to pay for, assuming that the features were good. Anyway, if someone knows of anything like this, feel free to let me know.
John.
