I needed a wide IDE ribbon earlier tonight. It was 5pm, I'm setting up a computer, I have thousands upon thousands of dollars worth of computing gear, and yet, I needed a $5 component before I could proceed.
Luckily, I have friends. (Thanks Shaz :)
Anyhow, since I was out and about (picking up a loaner IDE cable) I decided to stop off in Epping for a curry. And I swung by the supermarket for a kilo of chocolate and a few hundred cans of cola (hehe, I'm *under* exaggerating :).
Then I decided to take myself to the movies. I was going to see a movie last night, but I went to the Internet café instead, and wailed on the AI with my worthy ally (Again, thanks Shaz :).
So, I've just come back from seeing The Village. It's a great movie. I really enjoyed it. I'll be thinking about its themes this evening, while I install FreeBSD and configure Subversion to run on it.
It's going to be a long night.
I feel really happy right at the moment.
John.
