You know, the advertising might say otherwise, but DVD technology sucks.
There is always a problem when playing a DVD.
Their capacity for ensuring data integrity is terrible, and it gets significantly worse over time.
Basically, they suck.
They are clearly nothing more than a medium for planned obsolescence.
John.
p.s. Surely, it's time for DVDA. I don't understand why this hasn't been done yet. ;)
I totally agree with you I have a young child and its a hassle trying to get her from touching it or scratching it when I am doing cleaning etc because when that happens the dvds no longer work well and tend to skip and also in the computer with games. We have been tired of this and no longer rent nor buy dvds there just to much of a hassle. Besides vhs is cheaper and so is floppy disks to bad they are slowly becoming a thing of the past. Iam just tired of saying no everytime she heads for dvds on our shelf.
VHS ROX!!11111
I completly agree, lolz.
im thinking the same thing, im soo friggen sick of having to pay more to get a dvd because a local store no longer sells vhs, you have no choice. who the hell watches the special directers comantary or needs any of those crappy extra fetures, illd rather pay ten bucks less and not get a special spanish dubbed edition of the movie im buy. VHS UPRISEING!!!
