It grows!
I'm trying to abide by the rule “if in doubt, don't send it”.
So, after writing a potentially contentious e-mail just now, I wrote at the bottom of the e-mail:
p.p.s. This post is a masterpiece. It's going to be a shame when I don't press send.
I then clicked 'save' and closed it.
Now it will live in my drafts folder for a few months, become forgotten, and then one day be deleted (i.e. moved to the 'deleted items' folder).
I just chuckled to myself when I wrote that at the end, realising that I wasn't going to send it, and feeling sort of ripped off that no-one was going to be able to witness my true wit and altogether dark and dry humor.
So, I thought I'd share with you, my internet groupies.
Love,
John. (Your fearless leader).
p.s. There are still far too many of you reading this thing. We need more unsubscriptions here please. ;)
p.p.s. In other news. VB6 still sucks. However, it does not, I might add, suck as much as C++ (from a 'readability' and 'potential to really fuck it up' perspective).
I'm not a groupie; I'm just studying you. ;)
When you figure me out, please do me a favor, and let me know what you find!
I've been studying myself for (well <g>) 24 years now, and I still have no idea what's going on..
:)
John.
Oh yeah -- Happy Birthday!
I know it's over in your timezone, but it would be just gearing up in this one (assuming you work the standard 8-5 and are leaving work 1.5 hours early to hit the seedy (in a bad way) bar up the road).
All of your assumptions are wrong, but thanks. :)
