How is it, that Coca Cola's branding initiatives have been so effective, that if I were to walk into a bar, and ask for a 'cola' I'd feel like a pompous wanker..?
Why is it that I'd feel like a pussy, or need some kind of excuse (like “I'm driving“) to be *excused* for my decision not to purchase an alcoholic beverage. (p.s. If you think a capacity for drinking alcohol is 'tough' I'm fucking way tougher than you buddy ;)
And why, oh why, oh.. (spells Yo-yo!) ..why, if I ask for raspberry flavoring in it, do they always fucking look sideways and me with a disapproving scowl?
You know what? Screw you guys. I'm doing it anyway.
John.
...well, if you utterly object to saying "coke please" and also have a compelling reason to not want to request a 'cola', you can still just ask for a 'pepsi' and basically end up being given the same thing regardless of wether it actually is pepsi, a coke, or home-brand cola drink.
The point being, I'm trying to avoid any branding..
